Contract Trainer Coaching

Trainers!

This job is harder than it looks.  I was there!  I struggled when I first started and waited too long to get help.   Don't make the same mistakes.  I left money on the table.  I'm now ranked in the top 1% of income earners.  I can help coach you and train you to learn the strategies and techniques needed to reduce frustration, earn more money and have fun doing this job.

It was great to get the applause and accolades, but when I went home with no money, it was not fun.  Are you ready to get both?

Have you said these things or heard these challenges in the training room:

  • They love me but they don't buy much, if anything
  • They don't buy in my topic
  • They are not decision makers
  • They don't have money
  • My classes are too small
  • The city is too small
  • They don't want to be there... they were sent
  • They say, "Too much selling"
  • "I have to ask my boss / spouse / etc... permission"
  • "My company won't buy it"
  • I don't have anything to sell
  • I have all P+ members, they won't buy
  • I have no P+, they won't buy
  • I'm a trainer, not a sales person

Are you ready to stop struggling?  I can coach you to help you:

  • Learn the keys to selling in the training room
  • How to increase total dollars sold
  • How to increase dollars per person
  • How to make bigger sales
  • How to sell groups of P+
  • How to plant seeds throughout the day so customers want to buy
  • How to message properly so they spend their OWN money
  • How to handle concerns/objections such as "I have to ask my boss"
  • How to handle "I need to ask my spouse"
  • Roster Mining to increase odds of selling bigger deals
  • Craft your message to plant seeds which will get them to want to buy
  • Build your own sales pack of products that excites your customers
  • How to use humor when you normally are not funny
  • How to get "blue card" leads every day which can lead to larger enterprise sales
  • How to incorporate resources into your training to increase sales conversion
  • How to build credibility quickly and better manage your room
  • The importance of room setup and how to optimize it to better engage and sell more

Additionally, for newer trainers, I can help you with:

  • All the little, seemingly trivial things that a new trainer struggles with.
  • My favorite free software tools to help such as screen captures, scanning, pdf manipulation
  • Navigating the resources on Trainer Central
  • Paperwork, paperwork, paperwork
  • Using, and selling Mindmapping software
  • How to eat healthy on the road (my favorite places and foods)
  • Staying fit, ie, exercise tips on the road
  • Customized Excel spreadsheets to track your daily sales
  • Customized Excel spreadsheet to calculate totals on your POFs in seconds
  • Travel tips
  • Packing tips
  • Technology tips and recommendations (projectors, speakers, microphones, etc...)
  • How to get free upgrades/perks on airlines and in hotels
  • How to get free breakfasts and lunches at the nicer hotels
  • And...wait for it:
    • How about just having someone to call when you have a dumb question you should know but don't know who to call or you are too embarrassed to ask anyone else

I'll help you be successful with your topic and your style, not mine!  My favorite word, "CONGRUENT".  Your style, message, and presentation must be congruent with who you are, not who I am.

Why coaching?  You might be asking, shouldn't my training company do this for me?  Not necessarily.  You are an independent contractor.  It is time to invest in your own skills.  The best part, investing in training is not an expense, it is an investment.  Meaning, an investment gives you a return.  For example:

Let's say your sales are at or near (or below) $20 per person.  You will likely have smaller classes and are maybe teaching 120 people or less per week.

At $20/person X 120 people that is $2400 a week in sales.  You will likely be at a lower commission and earn less than $400 a week in commission.

Increase your per person to $40/person, and now you will earn bigger classes.  Now teaching 240 per week, lets say... That is:

$40/person X 240 = $9,600 per week.  Now you are at a higher commission and could earn $1,920 per week.

You decide, what would you rather earn, $400 or $1,920 per week?

Take it to the level of top trainers who are selling $15,000 - $20,000 per week!  Figure the commission on that!  Add in your daily rate, add in commissions from enterprise back of room leads you submit, and now you are making a nice living.  It's doable.

Let's be real, this business can be cyclical... some weeks you will rock, some weeks you may struggle. The key is, find ways to increase overall sales, as well as create multiple revenue streams (P+, Products, Enterprise Leads, On-site leads) to balance it out.
